Gerard Pique has hailed the impact that outgoing coach Pep Guardiola has had on Barcelona and believes he will return to Camp Nou one day.
Guardiola's last game as boss of the Catalan giants was a 3-0 win over Athletic Club in the Copa del Rey final.
After the game, the Spanish defender was full of praise for his boss, thanking him for everything he has taught him.
"He knew internally that it was time to leave, and he will now feel a bit of nostalgia after leaving the club, but will return some day," Pique told reporters.
"This season I have not played as well as I would have liked, but I'm very proud to have been with him for four years.
"I thank him for all that he has taught me and I'm happy that he has added a new title before leaving."
Tito Vilanova will take over as the head coach ahead of the 2012-13 campaign.
