Luis Suarez: 'We must all take responsibility'

Barcelona forward Luis Suarez insists that his whole team need to share the responsibility of producing good results in the continued absence of Lionel Messi.

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has called on his teammates to "take responsibility together" in the continued absence of Lionel Messi.

Messi has been out of action since he damaged knee ligaments at the end of September and the Catalan outfit have struggled to produce their best form without the Argentine.

The Spanish giants are currently level on points with La Liga leaders Real Madrid, however, and Suarez is confident that his team can cope until the 28-year-old's return.

"Messi's irreplaceable [in terms of a single player replacing him]. Without him, we must take responsibility together," he told TV3.

"Everyone knows what their role within the team is and I know mine; helping my teammates in addition to scoring goals. Messi's the best player in the world and no-one can replace him."

Messi is expected to return before next month's El Clasico at the Bernabeu, which has been confirmed for November 21.
