Andoni Zubizarreta: "We're where we wanted to be"

Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta says that the club are pleased with their transfer dealings this summer.

Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta has claimed that the club are pleased with their transfer dealings this summer.

A number of new players, including Luis Suarez and Ivan Rakitic, have arrived at the Camp Nou, with business busier than usual due to the club's impending two-window transfer ban.

"I think we've done everything as planned," Marca reports Zubizarreta as saying.

"Another thing is that in this process there have been contractual situations. All the phone calls have been answered. I'm now taking a vacation for the first time in four years. We've created a positive illusion.

"We're trying to return to a highly competitive squad. We have a recognisable team with the nuances of football. We're where we wanted to be, with a team that can compete again."

Barcelona have won their opening two games of the new La Liga season.
