How Barcelona could line up against Celta Vigo

Ahead of Barcelona's trip to Celta Vigo on Thursday, Sports Mole looks at how Ronald Koeman's side could line up at Balaidos.

Barcelona are in La Liga action for the second time this season when they head to Celta Vigo on Thursday evening.

The Catalan giants kicked off a new era under Ronald Koeman in style on Sunday with a routine 4-0 victory over Villarreal.

However, the visitors have failed to win any of their last five league meetings at Balaidos, losing three of those recent encounters.

Ahead of this latest tussle in Galicia, Sports Mole looks at how Barca could line up.

First-choice goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen and back-up forward Martin Braithwaite have been ruled out of this game with knee and thigh injuries respectively.

Samuel Umtiti is also unlikely to play any part due to an ongoing knee issue, which has kept him out of the squad since June.

The likes of Frenkie de Jong, Philippe Coutinho and two-goal Ansu Fati all impressed against Villarreal, so it is unlikely that Koeman will make any changes to his XI.

However, with the games coming thick and fast, Ousmane Dembele and summer signing Miralem Pjanic will be hopeful of earning a recall.

Lionel Messi, on target from the penalty spot on Sunday, will almost certainly lead the line as he looks to build on a return of 11 goals in 16 La Liga appearances against Celta.
