La Liga leaders Barcelona will be without winger Ousmane Dembele for Wednesday's trip to the Estadio Benito Villamain to face Real Betis.
The Frenchman limped off in the 25th minute of Barca's 1-0 win over Girona on Saturday after sustaining a thigh injury and he is expected to spend at least three weeks on the sidelines.
However, Barca are able to welcome back Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres after serving suspensions, and the attacking duo will be hoping to force their way back into Xavi's starting lineup.
The inclusion of Lewandowski down the middle will likely see Ansu Fati either shift out wide or drop to the substitutes' bench, while Torres could occupy the left flank at the expense of the injured Dembele.
Barca have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three matches despite Xavi making at least two changes to his back four on each occasion, and the Catalan boss may decide to make alterations again on Wednesday.
A back four of Jules Kounde, Ronald Araujo, Eric Garcia and Marcos Alonso started in the win over Girona, but the likes of Andreas Christensen, Jordi Alba and Sergi Roberto will all be pushing for recalls.
Pedri, who came on for Dembele to score the winner against Girona, is another vying to return to the first XI, and the teenager could either start in the front three or replace one of Gavi, Sergio Busquets or Frenkie de Jong in centre-midfield.
Barcelona possible starting lineup: Ter Stegen; Kounde, Araujo, Christensen, Alba; Gavi, De Jong, Pedri; Raphinha, Lewandowski, Torres
