Barcelona CEO Ferran Reverter says that the club will have in excess of £17m to spend in the January transfer window.

Barcelona CEO Ferran Reverter has claimed that the Catalan giants will have in excess of £17m to spend in the January transfer window despite their financial problems.

The La Liga outfit were unable to renew Lionel Messi's contract over the summer due to their off-the-field issues, while their business over the recent transfer window involved free signings and loan deals.

However, Reverter has said that Barcelona have in excess of £17m to spend at the start of 2022 if they wish to enter the winter transfer market.

"If necessary, we have more than €20m (£17m) to spend in January," Reveter told reporters.

Ronald Koeman is expected to remain in charge of Barcelona for at least their next three matches despite suggestions that he could be sacked over the international break.

Yusuf Demir, Memphis Depay, Sergio Aguero, Eric Garcia and Luuk de Jong all arrived at Camp Nou during the summer transfer window.
