Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu is reportedly keen for his club to sign Borussia Dortmund's Erling Braut Haaland over Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez during this summer's transfer window.
The Spanish champions are expected to sign a new long-term replacement for Luis Suarez this summer.
Martinez has been strongly linked with a move to Camp Nou, with a recent report claiming that the Catalan giants had already agreed personal terms with the Argentina international.
However, according to reports in Spain, Bartomeu would prefer to sign Haaland due to his superior goal record, in addition to the fact that he would represent a cheaper option.
Haaland, who has scored 40 times in 33 appearances for Red Bull Salzburg and Dortmund this season, could allegedly be available for a figure in the region of £50m.
Inter, though, will reportedly demand that Martinez's full release clause, which is thought to be in the region of £94m, is paid before allowing the striker to leave.
The 22-year-old has scored 16 times in 31 appearances for Antonio Conte's side this season.
