Barcelona will reportedly look to sign Ajax defender Noussair Mazraoui as a favour for super-agent Mino Raiola, to help improve their chances of recruiting Erling Braut Haaland.
The Catalan giants are one of several elite European clubs who are interested in signing the Borussia Dortmund striker next summer when his £64m release clause becomes active.
While Raiola is set to be at the forefront of any potential transfer for Haaland in 2022, the Italian is also prepared to enter transfer talks for another of his clients in the form of Mazraoui, who has just six months remaining on his Ajax contract.
According to Sport, Raiola believes the 24-year-old Morocco international would be an affordable signing for Barcelona as well as an upgrade on current first-choice right-back Sergino Dest.
The report adds that Barcelona president Joan Laporta has developed a strong relationship with Raiola, following a meeting between the two in Italy earlier this week, and he is hoping that will give the Catalan giants an advantage in their pursuit of Haaland.
Laporta is prepared do whatever it takes to recruit the 21-year-old and is open to helping Raiola by signing his client Mazraoui next summer, a potential move which would please the Italian and could 'convince' him to negotiate future transfers with Barca, including Haaland.
Mazraoui has spent his entire career with Eredivisie champions Ajax, scoring nine goals and providing eight assists in 123 appearances across all competitions.
