Barcelona 'eye 17-year-old midfielder Lucien Agoume'

Barcelona reportedly consider a swoop for Sochaux midfielder Lucien Agoume, who is the captain of France's Under-17 team.

Barcelona are reportedly considering a swoop for Sochaux midfielder Lucien Agoume.

Agoume, who is the captain of France's Under-17 side, has made 12 first-team appearances for Sochaux during the 2018-19 campaign, with 11 of those coming in Ligue 2.

According to El Mundo Deportivo, Barca have been 'extensively scouting' the 17-year-old, who would initially link up with Barcelona B if he made the move to the Catalan giants this summer.

However, the same report has claimed that Agoume - also linked with RB Leipzig and Saint-Etienne - is keen to secure first-team football at his next club, which could rule Barca out of the running.

The Cameroon-born teenager could be available for as little as £4.3m, which is expected to spark a transfer scramble in this summer's transfer window.
