Barcelona 'open to January Abel Ruiz exit'

Barcelona are prepared to allow Abel Ruiz to leave the club at the start of 2020, according to a report.

Barcelona are reportedly prepared to allow Abel Ruiz to leave the club in the January transfer window.

The 19-year-old made his La Liga debut for the Spanish champions in May but has not been involved in a first-team match during the 2019-20 campaign.

Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Ousmane Dembele have all had their injury problems this season, which has opened the door for the likes of Ansu Fati and Carles Perez.

Ruiz admitted last month that he could seek pastures new due to a lack of opportunities, and according to Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan giants will allow the Spain Under-21 international to leave in January.

The report claims that Ernesto Valverde's side are open to either a temporary or permanent exit for a player who has scored three times for the club's B team during the current season.

Ruiz - out of contract at Camp Nou in the summer of 2021 - began his youth career at Valencia before joining Barca in 2012.
