Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has revealed that the Spanish champions will sign a new centre-back in the summer.
The Catalan outfit will be a defender light at the end of the season following Carlos Puyol's decision to depart and seek pastures new.
However, Bartomeu has claimed that a new centre-back will arrive ahead of the 2014-15 season, in addition to a new goalkeeper, with Victor Valdes also due to depart.
"There are no central defenders at the club that can replace Puyol," Bartomeu told TV3.
"So we will look. [There will be two signings] - a centre-back and a goalkeeper."
Puyol has been in the Barca first team for 14 years.
