Barcelona are reportedly preparing to reignite their interest in Lautaro Martinez after the striker's contract talks with Inter Milan hit a wall.
The Blaugrana came close to securing the Argentine's signature in the summer of 2020, but Martinez ultimately remained at Inter and helped them to a long-awaited first Scudetto title in 11 years.
The striker has affirmed on multiple occasions that he is happy at Inter and is keen to come to an agreement over a new contract, while Barca focus on signing free agents such as Sergio Aguero and Memphis Depay.
However, Sport reports that negotiations between Martinez and Inter have now hit a stumbling block, and Barca are keeping a watchful eye over the situation.
The report adds that the cash-strapped Catalans would not be willing to fork out Inter's €90m (£77.2m) asking price for Martinez, and they are willing to include right-back Emerson in a bid to drive the price down.
The South American remains contracted to Inter for another two years, and he amassed 19 goals and 11 assists from 48 appearances in all competitions last term.
