Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has revealed his delight at the signing of Douglas from Sao Paulo.

The Brazilian defender has joined the Catalan outfit on a long-term deal and could make his debut in tomorrow's La Liga clash against Villarreal.

"I'm very happy that Douglas has joined. It was worth it, we needed someone with his attacking qualities," Enrique told reporters.

"Douglas is a player who can cover the whole wing, a typical Brazilian full back. He'll help us in defence and in attack. It's a good signing."

Enrique is reportedly keen to use Douglas in the right-back berth this season.
