Everton move for Barcelona's Sergi Roberto?

Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto could be on his way to Everton, according to reports.

Everton boss Roberto Martinez is attempting to sign Barcelona's out-of-favour midfielder Sergi Roberto, according to reports.

The 23-year-old is understood to have been told that he is surplus to requirements at Camp Nou and free to leave in the summer.

The news has alerted Martinez, who has launched a bid to bring Roberto to the Premier League, reports The Mirror.

Roberto, whose current deal expires in 2019, has made only seven La Liga appearances for Barcelona this season.
