Inter Milan reportedly want Lautaro Martinez to hand in a transfer request if he wants to join Barcelona.
Having scored 16 goals in Serie A and the Champions League this season, Martinez is allegedly regarded as the long-term replacement for Luis Suarez at Camp Nou.
Despite possessing a release clause said to be set at £96.7m, it appears unlikely that Barcelona would commit to such a financial outlay in the current climate.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter will only consider parting ways with the 22-year-old for less if he formally asks for an exit from San Siro.
Martinez, who still has just over three years left on his contract, is allegedly keen to play alongside Argentine compatriot Lionel Messi.
Inter vice-president Javier Zanetti has previously stated that he expects the attacker to remain at the Italian outfit.
