Barcelona boss Ronald Koeman has revealed that he remains determined to bring Memphis Depay to Camp Nou during the January transfer window.
The Catalan giants came close to signing the Netherlands international over the summer but could ultimately not afford to meet Lyon's asking price due to the financial impact of the coronavirus outbreak.
A recent report claimed that Barca were hopeful of securing the attacker's services in January, and Koeman has now said that he wants the Dutchman to arrive in the middle of the 2020-21 campaign.
"It's a possibility. I will try because I want to have him at Barcelona, but I can't know what the financial situation of the club will be then. We'll have to wait," Koeman told AD.
The 26-year-old, who could sign a pre-contract with the La Liga outfit in January as his current deal is due to expire next summer, has scored four times in six appearances at club level this term.
In all, the former Manchester United attacker has netted 58 times and provided 43 assists in 144 outings for Les Gones.
