Father Jorge Messi is reportedly attempting to engineer a return to Barcelona for Paris Saint-Germain forward Lionel Messi.
While Messi is currently helping PSG regain the Ligue 1 title, their bid to win this season's Champions League has already ended his failure after defeat to Real Madrid last week.
In response to the capitulation at the Bernabeu, Messi and teammate Neymar were booed by the Parc des Princes crowd at the weekend, resulting in doubts emerging regarding his long-term future.
According to journalist Gerard Romero, Jorge Messi has already been in contact with Barcelona officials to discuss the possibility of a reunion.
Romero suggests that the 34-year-old is dreaming of another spell at Camp Nou having failed to make a sustained impact at the club that he only joined in August.
Although PSG are likely to be against a departure at this stage, freeing up space on the wage bill would boost their efforts to retain the services of Kylian Mbappe.
