Barcelona coach Luis Enrique has revealed that he is powerless to keep reported Manchester United target Pedro.
The 28-year-old found himself on the fringes of the Catalans' first team last season as the triumvirate of Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez enjoyed a goal-laden campaign.
Speculation has mounted that United will offer him an escape route, with executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward reportedly jetting off to Catalunya to finalise a £17.5m deal shortly.
"Maybe some players might leave but right now there's nothing to comment on," Enrique told reporters. "I don't like to talk about hypotheses. It's not nice to talk about negatives, I like to think things will work well.
"We're prepared to deal with problems that may arise over the season. He's a fantastic top-class player who won everything and showed for club and country what he can do.
"I want him to stay, I've known him since the B team, but there's no changes and if there are changes that will be down to the player."
Pedro, who only signed a contract extension in June, is contracted to the Camp Nou club until 2019.
