Lionel Messi has said that he thinks it would be "impossible" for Dimitar Berbatov to join Barcelona.
Reports in Spain had claimed that the La Liga champions were considering a January move for the Fulham striker as cover for the injured Argentine.
However, the reigning Ballon d'Or winner told TV7: "I haven't heard the rumour that Berbatov is linked to Barcelona. In fact he is a good player, he has experience in a big team.
"It's not my business to interfere with the club's transfer decisions but I think it's impossible for Dimitar to join Barcelona."
Berbatov has scored twice in the Premier League this season.
