Crystal Palace have reportedly decided to launch an ambitious move for Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen.
Last summer, Cillessen left Ajax to move to Camp Nou to act as competition for Marc-Andre ter Stegen, and although he made 10 appearances in all competitions, just one of his outings came in La Liga.
The 28-year-old remains second choice at the Catalan giants ahead of next season and according to AS, that has led to Palace showing an interest in his services.
On paper, the approach appears to be speculative but Cillessen is well known to new Eagles head coach Frank de Boer after they worked together during a successful period for Ajax.
Should he become available, the Netherlands stopper is likely to receive offers from all over Europe but it appears that De Boer is attempting to make use of his previous experience with him.
During his five years at the Dutch giants, Cillessen played in 125 matches in all competition.
