Barcelona attacker Ansu Fati is reportedly attracting interest from Wolverhampton Wanderers, Marseille, Sevilla and Benfica during the closing weeks of the summer window.

Barcelona attacker Ansu Fati is reportedly wanted by four clubs as the summer transfer window nears its conclusion.

The 21-year-old was widely regarded as one of football's top emerging talents when he graduated from the famous La Masia academy at the start of the 2019-20 campaign.

However, a number of fitness issues have impacted Fati massively as he aims to live up to lofty expectations, as was the case during the 2023-24 term.

The exciting forward spent the season on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League, with the signing of the Spaniard viewed as a real coup for the South-coast club.

Unfortunately, Fati failed to make a positive impression overall at the Seagulls, featuring in 19 top-flight matches, with only three of those appearances coming from the start.

Barcelona's Fati 'wanted' by four European clubs

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Fati is heading towards another temporary switch away from Barcelona before the conclusion of the summer transfer window.

The report claims that the 21-year-old is not part of the first-team plans under new head coach Hansi Flick, who is looking to guide the Catalans to La Liga glory over arch rivals Real Madrid.

Barca's financial situation makes a permanent move away for Fati difficult at this stage supposedly, meaning that a season-long loan elsewhere is on the cards.

It is understood that Wolverhampton Wanderers, Marseille, Benfica and Sevilla are all keen on exploring the possibility of signing the 10-time Spain international.

That being said, Sevilla could fall behind in the race for Fati as the La Liga outfit are only willing to pay a part of the attacker's wages.

Wolves closing in on Neto replacement?

So far it has been a summer focused around outgoings at Molineux, with last season's talisman Pedro Neto securing a £52m move to Premier League rivals Chelsea.

The Portuguese attacker scored two goals and provided nine assists despite an injury-hampered term in 2023-24, with Wolves now scrambling to find a suitable replacement.

Despite struggling for fitness at Brighton last season, Fati signalled in some of his performances that he could be a major asset for a Premier League club.

With finances still tight in the Black Country, it remains to be seen whether Gary O'Neil's side can afford to deal with the wages of the Barca star.
