Senior figures at Paris Saint-Germain reportedly 'regret' extending Neymar's contract at the club until June 2025.
The 30-year-old penned a new deal with the French giants last May, and he is now committed to Mauricio Pochettino's side until the end of the 2024-25 campaign, with the option of a further 12 months.
However, the Brazil international has found it difficult to show his best form at club level this season, scoring seven times and providing five assists in 22 appearances in all competitions.
There has recently been speculation surrounding the attacker's future, with Barcelona and Newcastle United both credited with an interest in his services.
According to Sport, PSG chiefs 'regret' handing Neymar a lucrative extension, with the South American believed to earn in the region of £33m per season in Paris.
The report claims that the forward's injury problems and off-the-field issues have also led to frustration at the club.
Neymar, who has recently been booed by a section of PSG supporters, has scored 94 goals and registered 57 assists in 138 appearances for Les Parisiens since arriving from Barcelona in August 2017.
