Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly reached a pre-contract agreement with Neymar to keep the Brazilian attacker on the books until 2026.
The former Barcelona man is currently due to become a free agent in 2022, and a recent report claimed that he is desperate to head back to Catalonia and is stalling over a new deal with PSG for that reason.
The two parties have been locked in contract talks for some time, and Neymar's future was originally thought to depend on what happens with Lionel Messi, who has been frequently linked with a move to the French capital.
However, AS claims that progress has been made in negotiations, and PSG have now reached a pre-contract agreement for a deal until the end of the 2025-26 campaign.
The report adds that PSG will now turn their attention to Kylian Mbappe, whose existing deal also runs out in less than 18 months' time, and Neymar's renewal is sure to have an impact on Mbappe's decision whether to pen a new contract or not.
Neymar has scored 13 goals and assisted six more across all competitions for Les Parisiens this term, but the 29-year-old drew a blank and saw red in a 1-0 defeat to Lille at the weekend.
