Rafinha agrees new Barcelona deal

Barcelona reveal that Brazilian midfielder Rafinha, 22, has agreed a new contract with the Spanish club, which will run until 2020.

Brazilian midfielder Rafinha has agreed a new long-term contract with Barcelona, which includes a buy-out clause in the region of £54m.

The 22-year-old, who came through the youth system at Barcelona, made three appearances for his Spanish club at the start of the season, but has been sidelined with a serious knee problem since September.

Matters off the field have taken shape, however, with Barcelona revealing that the Brazil international has agreed fresh terms that will run until 2020.

Rafinha, who made 45 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions last season, is not expected to play again this term as he recovers from a cruciate ligament rupture.
