Midfielder Ivan Rakitic will not be leaving the Spanish giants during the summer transfer window, according to the player's agent.

The agent of midfielder Ivan Rakitic has claimed that it is "impossible" that the midfielder will leave Barcelona this summer.

Rakitic has enjoyed an excellent four-and-a-half-year spell at Camp Nou, with 34 goals being scored from 246 appearances in all competitions.

The Croatian is yet to be offered a new contract by the La Liga leaders with his existing deal expiring in 2021, but the 30-year-old's representative has suggested that there is no chance of a transfer at the end of the campaign.

Arturo Canales told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "It is an impossible scenario to see Ivan leaving Spain in the summer."

Rakitic has been linked with the likes of Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain in recent months.
