Ivan Rakitic looks to next step of career

Ivan Rakitic has revealed that he cannot wait to begin his Barcelona career.

The Croatian international completed a move to the Catalan outfit from Sevilla this summer, but has also taken the time to praise his former club.

"Moving to Barcelona is a big step in my career," he told Sport.

"I want to thank Barca for being fair in the negotiations and satisfying Sevilla. Sevilla is my club and I am very sad to leave.

"I had three wonderful years there in which I got married, had a daughter and lived a great time personally."

The 26-year-old is currently with the Croatia squad at the World Cup.
