Report: Everton join race for Barcelona forward Malcom

A report claims that Everton have revived their interest in Barcelona forward Malcom, with the Brazilian tipped to leave Camp Nou just five months after joining.

Everton have reportedly joined the race to sign Malcom, having launched an enquiry for the Barcelona forward.

The Brazilian has failed to make an impact at Camp Nou since arriving in a £44.5m deal from Bordeaux in the summer.

Malcom turned down interest from Roma to join Barcelona at the last minute, but he has been used for a total of just 97 minutes in La Liga over the past four months.

Spanish outlet Marca claims that the 21-year-old may be on his way out of Catalonia before the end of January, with several clubs - including some in China - monitoring his situation.

Having shown an interest in the player last summer, the report indicates that Everton have now also revived their interest and asked about the possibility of a transfer this month.

Malcom, however, is believed to favour staying at Barcelona until at least the end of the season.
