A penalty from Tony Gray has given AFC Telford United a 1-0 lead against Conference Premier leaders Barnet at half time.
The opening 20 minutes brought little in the way of goalmouth action as Barnet struggled to open up a Telford defence that had already conceded 20 goals this season.
The home side started to make inroads in the final third through Michael Phenix, and after his run had been halted by a last-ditch challenge, Josh O'Keefe directed a header wide of the post.
Barnet weren't producing a performance worthy of league leaders and it came as no surprise when they fell behind. After Curtis Weston was adjudged to have handled the ball in the penalty area, Gray stepped up to put away from the spot.
Telford continued to press before the break, but after Barnet stopper Graham Stack had palmed away a threatening cross into the middle, the visitors were left to contemplate a change in approach for the second half.
