Portuguese striker Ricardo Vaz Te has rejected Barnsley's offer of a new contract at Oakwell, according to Sky Sports News.
The Championship club decided to present Vaz Te with fresh terms as his current deal is due to expire at the end of the current season.
However, the 25-year-old has thrown his future with the Tykes into doubt by turning down the invitation.
Vaz Te, who scored three goals against Leeds United yesterday, joined Barnsley earlier this year following a spell with Scottish Premier League side Hibernian.
