Hull City's nine-game unbeaten run ends at the hands of Barnsley at Oakwell.

Barnsley ended Hull City's nine-game unbeaten run at Oakwell this evening by defeating the Tigers 2-1.

In the first half Matty Fryatt missed a penalty for the visitors after Jay McEveley was adjudged to have brought down Robbie Brady. Fryatt's effort was saved low to his left by Luke Steele.

Craig Davies made Fryatt and Hull pay three minutes into the second half after he was played in by Andy Gray who then went on to make it two ten minutes later.

Hull keeper Adriano Basso failed to deal with Jacob Butterfield's shot and Gray was there to prod home.

Fryatt did pull a goal back for the visitors 11 minutes from time after Dele Adebola's chested knockdown.

Keith Hill's Tykes move up one place to 19th while Hull remain in sixth.
