Zlatan Ibrahimovic scores twice against Bastia, PSG extend lead at top to six

Paris Saint-Germain extened their lead at the top of Ligue 1 to six points after two goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic help them overcome Bastia 2-0.

A brace from Zlatan Ibrahimovic helped Paris Saint-Germain overcome a stubborn Bastia side 2-0 in Ligue 1 this evening.

Edison Cavani had taken Bastia keeper Jean-Louis Leca out of position before pulling the ball back to Ibrahimovic who coolly converted the ball home to give PSG the lead.

Ibrahimovic then doubled his account 10 minutes later after Serge Aurier sent in a perfect cross to the Swedish striker's feet.

PSG had made life hard for themselves prior to the goal with Salvatore Sirigu having to make a diving save on the line after a breakdown in the defence's communication.

The win sees PSG take their lead at the top of Ligue 1 to six points, while Bastia sit in 14th.
