Bayer Leverkusen loan Ryu Seung-Woo

Ryu Seung-Woo will join Bayer Leverkusen in January on a year-long loan deal.

Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen have signed South Korean striker Ryu Seung-Woo on a year-long loan deal from K-League side Jeju United.

The 20-year-old passed a medical at the club on Wednesday and will link up with his new teammates when the January transfer window opens.

Ryu had previously been linked with Borussia Dortmund, but has now agreed a deal with the side second in the Bundesliga that has an option to become permanent should he impress.

The player has been capped at Under-20 level, but has yet to make a full South Korea appearance.
