It remains goalless between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich at half time in the Champions League final at Wembley.

A lively first half at Wembley has ended goalless between Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich.

There was a tense feel to the opening 10 minutes and, although Jurgen Klopp's men made the better start, both sets of players looked to have adrenaline coursing through their veins.

It was not until the 10th minute before the first real scoring opportunity presented itself, but Jakub Blaszczykowski sent his first-time effort sailing over the bar after the ball had fallen kindly for him on the edge of the area.

Four minutes later, Robert Lewandowski found a yard of space just outside the box and tried to curl the ball beyond Neuer, but the German number one got his fingertips to it, diverting the ball over the bar.

Neuer came to the rescue three more times to deny Blaszczykowski, Marco Reus and Sven Bender within the opening 25 minutes.

For all of Die Borussen's early pressure, it was the Bavarian outfit that carved open the best opportunity of the match, with Arjen Robben scampering through unchecked.

However, Roman Weidenfeller was alert to deny the Dutch international by bolting off his line to close him down. The Dortmund keeper then produced a magnificent stop to keep out Mario Mandzukic's header.

Bayern had finally settled into the contest by the half-hour mark, with Thomas Muller's header forcing another save from Weidenfeller.
