Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini wants to avoid Bayern Munich

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini admits that he would like for his side to avoid Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has revealed that he hopes his club avoid Bayern Munich in the Champions League draw on Thursday.

Juve could be drawn from pot three alongside the defending champions depending on the outcome of the remainder of the qualifying games.

As a result, Chiellini has admitted that if he had to pick one team to avoid, it would be the Bundesliga champions.

"If I had to choose a team for us to avoid I'd say Bayern Munich. In any case, we'll take each game as it comes and take stock of it afterwards. The Champions League mustn't be an objective, but instead a dream for us to pursue," he told the club's official website.

Antonio Conte's men were defeated 4-0 on aggregate by Bayern in the quarter-finals last season.
