Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Villarreal could line up for Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg with Bayern Munich.

Villarreal manager Unai Emery has two attacking uncertainties for Wednesday's Champions League quarter-final first leg with Bayern Munich at the Estadio de la Ceramica.

Boulaye Dia was absent from the squad to face Levante at the weekend due to muscular discomfort, while Samuel Chukwueze picked up an adductor problem while on international duty with Nigeria but did train with the team on Monday.

Aside from the attacking duo and long-term absentee Alberto Moreno - who is out for the season with an ACL rupture - Emery boasts a well-stocked group of players for this behemoth of a tie.

Juan Foyth and Alfonso Pedraza both started in the weekend's loss to Levante, and Emery could now elect to recall Serge Aurier and Pervis Estupinan after the pair started the 3-0 win at Juventus last month.

Pau Torres will soon serve a domestic suspension but is fine to line up in Europe alongside Raul Albiol, while midfield enforcer Dani Parejo will miss the second leg if he is booked on Wednesday.

Parejo should still link up with Etienne Capoue in the middle, as Yeremi Pino and Manu Trigueros occupy the wide areas in Chukwueze's absence.

Dia's injury would have been unlikely to change Emery's thinking in the final third, with Arnaut Danjuma and Gerard Moreno expected to start at the tip of the attack in the first leg.

Villarreal possible starting lineup: Rulli; Aurier, Albiol, Torres, Estupinan; Pino, Parejo, Capoue, Trigueros; Danjuma, Moreno
