Half-Time Report: Bayern Munich ahead after thrilling half

Bayern Munich are 3-2 up against Hoffenheim after a thrilling first half at the Allianz Arena in the Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich have come from a goal down against Hoffenheim to head into the half-time break 3-2 ahead, with their 100% home record in the Bundesliga looking safe.

The hosts could have had a penalty as early as the fifth minute when Xherdan Shaqiri flicked the ball on to Andreas Beck's hand, but the referee deemed it accidental and waved play on.

The Bavarian giants were seeing a lot of the ball but midway through the half Anthony Modeste opened the scoring. His first shot after a run was saved, but he reacted quicker than Tom Starke to tap in the rebound.

Bayern were level inside 10 minutes. Claudio Pizarro met a Shaqiri corner to head in before the winger himself guided a neat effort from a Rafinha cross into the net to complete the turnaround.

It was 3-1 on 40 minutes as Pizarro finished off a good counter-attacking move, but right before the break Hoffenheim restored hope through Sejad Salihovic to cap a thrilling first half.
