Bayern Munich midfielder Thomas Muller has conceded that David Alaba has earned the right to take over penalty duties following last Friday's Bundesliga opener.
Muller saw his spot kick saved in a 3-1 win over Borussia Monchengladbach, only for Alaba to slam home as Bayern were awarded two penalties in as many minutes.
After Alaba's successful effort Muller admitted that the Swiss full-back will step forward the next time Pep Guardiola's side win a penalty.
He told reporters: "I went for the wrong strategy this time around. I should have looked at what the goalkeeper did.
"I am still happy to take penalties, but I think David Alaba is the main man for spot kicks for now."
Alaba's goal proved decisive as Pep Guardiola's side claimed maximum points from his first league match in charge, with Arjen Robben and Mario Mandzukic also on target at the Allianz Arena.
