Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery has insisted that his side deserved to beat Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend as they dropped points for the second time this season.
Pep Guardiola's side went ahead through Toni Kroos at the BayArena but that lead lasted just two minutes, as Sidney Sam's equaliser saw the Bundesliga clash finish 1-1.
He told the club's official website: "We played really well in the first half and it should have been 3-1 or 4-1 to us then. Leverkusen were very defensive and waited for chances on the counter-attack.
"We had many good chances which unfortunately we didn't take today, but football can be like that at times. The good thing is we've not lost and now we're top of the league, which is important."
Despite failing to claim a victory, Guardiola's side went top of the Bundesliga after arch rivals Borussia Dortmund lost for the first time this season.
