Jose Mourinho and Ralf Rangnick are the leading candidates to replace Niko Kovac as Bayern Munich manager, according to a report.
The Croat won a league and cup double with the Bavarian giants in his first season as manager but his 18-month tenure with the club came to an end following their 5-1 defeat to Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
Assistant coach Hans Flick has been put in temporary charge for Wednesday's Champions League game with Olympiacos and next Saturday's fixture with Borussia Dortmund.
While former RB Leipzig boss Rangnick is the overall favourite to get the job, according to the bookmakers, Mourinho is a close second.
Rangnick led Die Roten Bullen to a third-place finish in the Bundesliga last year and he knows the league well from his time with the likes of Schalke 04, Hoffenheim, Stuttgart and Hannover.
Mourinho, meanwhile, has been out of work since he left Manchester United last December, and although he has no experience of working in Germany, he has a wealth of experience in top-level European football and the Champions League.
