Team News: All change for Bayern Munich at Augsburg

Pep Guardiola rests the majority of his first-team players for the away trip to Augsburg on Saturday.

Bayern Munich head coach Pep Guardiola has handed starts to no fewer than three youth prospects against Augsburg as he vastly changes his lineup with the Champions League quarter-final second leg against Manchester United in mind.

Danish 18-year-old Pierre Hojbjerg starts in midfield for a debut along with Ylli Sallahi in defence, while Mitchell Weiser also starts. Guardiola has also opted for two up front as Mario Mandzukic is joined in attack by Claudio Pizarro in what could be a 3-5-2 formation.

For Augsburg, Sascha Molders starts up front with the likes of Halil Altintop and Alexander Esswein providing the support from midfield.

Augsburg: Hitz; Verhaegh, Callsen-Bracker, Hong, Oztrzolek; Baier; Altintop, Holzhauser, Kohr, Esswein; Molders

Bayern: Neuer; Van Buyten, Martinez, Sallahi; Weiser, Schweinsteiger, Kroos, Hojbjerg, Shaqiri; Pizarro, Mandzukic
