Mario Gomez starts for Bayern Munich against Eintracht Frankfurt, as does Xherdan Shaqiri.

Mario Gomez has been included in the Bayern Munich starting lineup for their Bundesliga game against Eintracht Frankfurt away from home this afternoon.

The Germany international striker gets the nod ahead of Claudio Pizarro, who is on the bench for the encounter at the Commerzbank Arena.

Javi Martinez and Bastian Schweinsteiger continue their central midfield partnership, while Franck Ribery is replaced by Xherdan Shaqiri on the wings.

Meanwhile, Oka Nikolov replaces the injured Kevin Trapp between the posts for Frankfurt, while both Pirmin Schwegler and Alexander Meier have failed to recover their full fitness in time for today's contest.

Eintracht Frankfurt: Nikolov; Zambrano, Oczipka, Anderson, Jung; Russ, Inui, Lanig, Aigner, Rode; Matmour

Bayern Munich: Neuer; Dante, Boateng, Lahm, Alaba; Martinez, Schweinsteiger; Robben, Muller, Shaqiri; Gomez
