Team News: Pep Guardiola names strong Bayern Munich side for Augsburg test

Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller are among the starters for Bayern Munich as the champions meet Augsburg at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern Munich head coach Pep Guardiola has resisted the temptation to leave out most of his key players for the Bundesliga meeting with Augsburg at the Allianz Arena.

After losing 3-0 to Barcelona in midweek, Guardiola was expected to rest a number of players ahead of the second leg of their Champions League semi-final on Tuesday evening.

Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller continue their partnership in attack for the champions while Philipp Lahm, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Thiago Alcantara all start once again.

There is a change in goal as Pepe Reina gets a rare opportunity, with Manuel Neuer dropping to the bench alongside Xabi Alonso and Mehdi Benatia.

Augsburg boss Markus Weinzierl makes just one change to his side as Dominik Kohr returns to replace Tobias Werner, while Raul Bobadilla is once again given the responsibility of leading the line.

Bayern: Reina, Weiser, Boateng, Dante, Bernat, Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Thiago, Muller, Gotze, Lewandowski

Augsburg: Hitz, Verhaegh, Hong, Klavan, Baba, Baier, Kohr, Esswein, Feulner, Altintop, Bobadilla
