Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has admitted that a deal to sign Arturo Vidal from Juventus has yet to be completed.
Reports emerged on Wednesday night claiming that the Bavarian giants' £28m bid for the Chilean midfielder had been accepted by his current club.
Vidal himself hinted that a switch was close to being finalised, but Rummenigge has refused to confirm that terms have been agreed.
"I hope that Arturo Vidal will join us in the end," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "I can't announce anything at the moment. If we sign someone, he would be a very good player."
Bundesliga champions Bayern lost experienced midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger to Manchester United earlier this week.
