Defender Bacary Sagna has signed a deal with Benevento until the end of the season.
Sagna has been a free agent ever since being released by Manchester City at the end of last season, and the likes of Crystal Palace have previously been linked with the 34-year-old's signature.
However, late last month, the right-back was said to be close to agreeing a switch to Benevento and the Serie A strugglers have now confirmed the move.
A club statement read: "This morning, at the Caravaggio Sporting Village in Naples, an agreement was reached between Benevento Calcio and footballer Bacary Sagna.
"In the presence of president Oreste Vigorito, the French defender of Senegalese origins signed a contract that binds him to the Giallorossi club until June 30."
Sagna will come into contention for Benevento's trip to Roma on February 11.
