Oscar Cardozo's agent has claimed that Italian outfit Napoli are keen to sign the striker this summer.
The 30-year-old has recently been linked with Fenerbahce, which prompted his club Benfica to insist that he was staying put.
However, Napoli are hoping to convince their Portuguese counterparts to part with the centre-forward as they seek a replacement for Edinson Cavani, who is expected to join either Real Madrid or Chelsea in the near future.
"There was agreement with Fenerbahçe but now Naples is also interested. They seek a replacement for Cavani," his representative Pedro Aldave told Goal.com.
"So far there is no white smoke, but the next day there should be news. He is a player who has the market, but for now nothing is set."
The Paraguayan international joined Benfica from Newell's Old Boys in 2007.
