Tomas Sivok has put an end to speculation linking him with a move away from Besiktas by signing a new contract with the club.
The Czech Republic international, who was a free agent, had been linked with moves to Fulham, Everton and Southampton this summer.
However, his agent has confirmed that the Turkish outfit made his client the best financial offer.
"We have agreed on an extension of his contract and on Wednesday Tomas is to join Besiktas at their training camp base in Seefeld, Austria," agent Jiri Mueller told CTK.
"The best offer has won. Before Euro 2012, Besiktas offered Tomas an extension on reduced terms, but the new offer was double the amount.
"It has paid off to wait."
Juventus and Valencia were also said to be interested in the 28-year-old.
