Real Betis earn Osasuna victory

Real Betis climb up to fifth place in the La Liga table with a 2-1 win at home to Osasuna.

Real Betis have moved up to fifth place in the La Liga table with a 2-1 win at home to Osasuna.

Jorge Molina headed in Joel Campbell's cross on 19 minutes to give the hosts a half-time lead.

Osasuna applied plenty of pressure after the break and they were rewarded with 15 minutes left to play as Francisco Silva fired into the bottom corner.

Despite the away side's best efforts, Ruben Castro marked his return to the Betis starting lineup with the winner on 80 minutes after he was picked out by Jose Canas.

Following his earlier goal, Silva was shown a red card in the final stages for his foul as the last man on Castro.
