Mario Rondon wants Real Betis move

Nacional de Madeira forward Mario Rondon reveals his desire to join Real Betis.

Mario Rondon has revealed that he wants to join Real Betis amid reported interest from the Spanish outfit.

The 27-year-old, who currently represents Nacional de Madeira in Portugal, is believed to be Betis's main transfer target this month as the Spanish side attempt to freshen their forward line.

The Venezuelan has added fuel to talk of a move by claiming that he is "very excited about the idea" of moving to the Seville-based club.

"I am very excited about the idea of representing Real Betis and playing in La Liga. There's nothing better than that," he told reporters.

"Hopefully I get the chance and hopefully I'm up to their expectations."

Rondon is valued in the region of £1.2m by his club.
