Birmingham City manager Lee Clark hands debuts to three of his new summer signings for their opening day clash against Watford.

Birmingham City manager Lee Clark has handed debuts to three of his new summer signings for the opening day clash against Watford at St Andrew's Stadium.

Goalkeeper Darren Randolph starts after his move from Motherwell, while Kyle Bartley, Shane Ferguson - who joined the club on a season-long loan deal this summer - and Andrew Shinnie all take their place in the home side's starting lineup.

For Watford, boss Gianfranco Zola has seen 14 new players arrive this summer and he will be hopeful of moving on from the disappointment of missing out on promotion last season.

Manuel Almunia captains the side, while the likes of Davide Faraoni, Gabriele Angella and Iriney all make their first appearances for the club.

Birmingham City: Randolph; Bartley, Burn, Robinson; Eardley, Adeyemi, Elliott, Shinnie, Ferguson; Novak, Green

Watford: Almunia; Doyley, Angella, Cassetti; Faraoni, Iriney, McGugan, Abdi, Anya; Deeney, Forestieri
