Birmingham City reportedly saw a move for former Chelsea winger Florent Malouda fall through last week.
The Frenchman was made a free agent by Turkish side Trabzonspor, which brought about the supposed interest from Blues manager Lee Clark.
However, despite the fact that the Championship outfit were prepared to pay the 34-year-old a five-figure weekly sum, no agreement could be reached, according to the Birmingham Mail.
Malouda has since started training with Chateauroux, where he started his career.
